Born in London in 1978 he studied Arabic, Persian and Linguistics at Cambridge University and Linguistics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). As well as writing about language and society, he's a keen critic of contemporary art and his reviews have appeared in newspapers and magazines around the world."
