
Cindy La Ferle is widely recognized for her inspirational essays and lifestyle columns. Covering a broad range of life-affirming topics, from living creatively to aging gracefully, her award-winning pieces have appeared in many national magazines and anthologies, including Reader's Digest, The Christian Science Monitor, Writer's Digest, Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion, Innsider, Country Gardens, Literary Mama, and the popular Chicken Soup for the Soul series. Throughout her writing career, Cindy has worked as a travel magazine editor, features writer, reviewer, and weekly newspaper columnist. Now in its second printing, Writing Home is a new collection of her most popular essays. Focusing on home and family issues, Writing Home won four awards for creative nonfiction, including one from Writer's Digest. One reviewer dubbed Writing Home "an anthem for the thinking woman," and its "values-driven content" has been featured nationally in magazines and on radio programs. Cindy lives with her family in Royal Oak, Michigan, where she is the new Writer-in-Residence for the Royal Oak Public Library. She enjoys gardening, making altered art, and teaching local writing workshops. Southeast Michigan readers will find her essays in several regional monthly publications.
